El conocimiento indígena tradicional impulsa el crecimiento del turismo: un análisis empírico en Hoi An, Vietnam

El conocimiento indígena (CI) desempeña un papel fundamental en las prácticas agrícolas sostenibles, especialmente en el desarrollo del agroturismo. A diferencia de estudios previos que se centran principalmente en la sostenibilidad agrícola, esta investigación analiza cómo el CI influye en la satisfacción del turista, su participación y la experiencia turística en general. Mediante el uso de Modelos de Ecuaciones Estructurales (SEM), se examina el impacto del CI en la atracción turística a través de mediadores como la infraestructura, los productos y servicios, y el valor percibido. Los resultados muestran que las prácticas indígenas no solo mejoran la productividad agrícola, sino que también ofrecen experiencias auténticas y sostenibles que atraen a los turistas y fomentan el desarrollo rural. Al integrar el CI con estrategias turísticas modernas, el estudio destaca la importancia de preservar el patrimonio cultural mientras se impulsa el crecimiento económico. Asimismo, proporciona aportes prácticos para responsables de políticas públicas y actores del sector turístico, promoviendo la protección y valorización del conocimiento indígena como una vía para impulsar el desarrollo rural sostenible mediante el agroturismo.
