Resumen

Planning a trip for tourists with disabilities (TWD) poses numerous challenges that must be addressed before and during the trip. This study aims to identify the main accessibility and travel restrictions faced by TWD while travelling. It is a qualitative research based on data collected from two focus groups, frequent travellers from a deaf association and tourists with motor, intellectual, visual, and sensory disabilities accessed by ONCE Foundation and key informants. The data were analyzed in four phases: (1) organization of the collected material, (2) coding and analysis of context units, (3) systematization to analyze the facilities and limitations of tourists
with disabilities, (4) preparation of the text corpus and submission to the Iramuteq software. The results indicate that the most common challenges faced include mobility on public transportation, movement with luggage, and communication. The most common travel accessibility options include organized groups of people with similar disabilities, helpful individuals, and small travel groups.
